Hi friend thanks for your message. It does my head in at times I must admit!! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:46, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry but I am really aren't concerned with the actions of this boy. It's a waste of time even trying to explain to him. He can do what he likes but no admin or decent editor on this site is going to delete the new articles and i have a lot of support behind me. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 19:24, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

I turned it down about 18 months ago as I prefer to concentrate on what matters most; editing. Lord knows I could use some of the tools sometimes though. Its my choice but I have contributed a lot more to this encyclopedia than tens of admins combined - for me the development of the encyclopedia is so more important than having a badge. Being an admin would sidetract me from my aims ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 19:28, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

French commune completion

Hi I think I finished starting them all today. unless I am mistaken Communes of the Somme department is the only one left but i can see someone is adding infoboxes type articles to that department so I didn't want to intrude. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 22:39, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Marutea Atolls

Hi Basketball110. There are two Marutea atolls in the Tuamotus: One is named Marutea Nord and the other Marutea Sud so that they will not be confusion. These names were chosen by the French Administration.

If there would be only one, there would be no problem naming it as you suggest, but what to do about the other then? Mohonu (talk) 17:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

George Washington failed FAC

Hello, I see that your recent nomination of George Washington as a Featured Article Candidate has failed. Sorry to hear that. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if I worked on improving the article and eventually bringing it up to FA status. I ask this because I know that, despite WP:OWN, some editors are very clingy to the articles that they have made major contributions to, and would not want others submitting their work to FAC and "stealing the glory" so to speak.--Pericles of AthensTalk 21:42, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Tables?

I do have a question. Know anything about tables?

I was trying to copy and paste one and it got all kinds of ugly.

Thanks,

Better, but not quite. There is a color/party field that is part of the table and the alignment is off by one column.

Shucks! Thanks for the kind words.

Looks great - better than anything I've been able to come up with (even simple coding has a habit of baffling poor me, though, so take that for what you will.) --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 00:28, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Place {{WikiProject French communes}} on talk pages, and you can use the class= and importance= parameters to assess them (as well as some other optional parameters you can use described on the template page).   jj137 (talk) 00:36, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
OK. Thanks for putting it together. I've got a few more Sarthe communes to knock out, and I think that'll be that for redlinks. --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 00:37, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Most everything should be Mid importance. Unless you come across an article such as Larry Bird (which is already assessed, I think), then you put "High" or "Top". For the assessment, take a quick look at the article. If it has a stub tag, its a stub. If it is well written, its most likely start class. Look even at the other assessment of that article and see what they assessed it as. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 03:15, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
I never saw your message. Sorry. Great job on the assessments! Bird would probably be Top, and Cowens would probably Mid/High. Again, awesome job! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 17:26, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I would like to welcome you back to the project. With some help from User:AlbertHerring, User:Blofeld of SPECTRE, and User:Jj137, I have successfully revived the project. Welcome back, we hope to see you there, Basketball110 what famous people say ♣ 17:11, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Sure. My god check out this. You can now install download a virtual earth from microsoft. Basically it is a satellite map which is now in 3D (this is what I have visualized for years but wasn't aware it existed yet. Anywhere on the planet you can zoom in and see places in 3d. Welcome to the 21st century. This is why I do so much work on geo articles as I;m certain soon enough wikipedia will have 3d maps of places and people can browse towns and cities through the streets, select a building and the article in cities like NYC and Singapore etc. Amazing isn't it. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to install. I'm sure soon enough this can be done for wikipedia ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 17:23, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

No it wouldn't affect the article and speed of accessibility. It would be linked in the globe map like we have on pages now. Rather than the basic one I'm certain it could be developed eventually in 3d. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 17:27, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy

I was simply explaining what it was; I had simply never posted a table before on this page —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pinkfloydfan (talkcontribs) 02:32, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy

The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, as the artcile states, is quite simply that: a series of three extremely bloody films that are only connected through their use of heavily stylized blood and gore and Cornetto, similar to Will Ferrel's Mediocre American Man Trilogy. The Cornetto in question always relates the basic premise of the film in some manner, usually the color of the wraper(ex: Strawberry=Blood in Shaun of the Dead a zombie film)

I can expand it at some point in the next day or so with plot summaries if needed. And the missing tidles were a simple lapse in memory, been a while since I used a talk page for anything whilst actually logged in

Pinkfloydfan (talk) 02:41, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

    • That could work, it just seemed that if one such trilogy with no connection other than loosely similar plot got it's own page, I could start Blood and Ice Cream and simply expand it.Pinkfloydfan (talk) 02:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Dictionary of Words in the Wild

It looks like the templates gave you some trouble on this nom. I took the liberty of attempting a fix, though I couldn't duplicate the prefix index - not a big deal, since this is the article's first nomination. Please revert me if I erred. Thanks! Grats on the 6000, and as always

They're the same thing, we just call them cabals as a joke. By definition, a cabal is so secretive that you don't even acknowledge its existence, so technically having a group calling themselves a cabal is paradoxical. At least, that's what I'm lead to believe. Mainly, just an excuse to be silly (see WP:BRC). Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 04:33, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Couldn't tell ya. :) Sorry! There may be a list hanging around... somewhere... Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 04:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
I saw your question. Technically, no. In reality, yes. It is possible to be a bureaucrat without being an administrator, though you would definitely want to be an administrator before an RfB. Cheers. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 18:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Your welcome! Cheers. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 22:39, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I like Mr. Potato Head. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 22:44, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Sure. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 22:51, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
(Hijacking topic) My signature is hardcoded into that. I changed it; now, just type Master of Puppets/Welcome; add the sig parameter and you're good to go. For example, {{User:Master of Puppets/Welcome|sig=~~~~}}. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 23:32, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I tried to include a parameter but the template vomited all over me. I'll get back to that later... for now, feel free to create your own copy, I guess. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 04:38, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
WP:UPLOAD would be your medicine. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 04:40, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Pretty good. Warm by my standards, at least. About -40 C, I'm not sure what that works out to be in Fahrenheit. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 23:24, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

<font face="Font"> I'm not sure what the supported fonts are, though. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 00:08, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Looks good to me! :) Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 00:25, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Yup. Quoted too often, I believe. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 01:00, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
So am I! Just kidding, awesome work man! Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 04:41, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Speculation isn't ok, mainly because it is OR. The only time speculation is ok is if it is mirrored by major sources; for example, if CNN thinks that the price of Swedish cheese will rise by $600 a molecule tomorrow, then that can be noted in the corresponding article. However, if Joe and his neighbour Bob think that aliens will attack tomorrow, then you don't include that. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 16:05, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Both are ok, but the proposals page one seems better as the likelihood of people noticing and joining a new WikiProject seems greater there. Also, Willy on Wheels is just another troublesome vandal. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 19:42, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Yup, sockpuppeteer. No idea why they cast her as Duff... Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 20:03, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
No problem! I tried to make it have that sort of Southern feel... no idea if I succeeded or not. But thanks for the compliment and including me in the newsletter! =) If you guys need any help with stuff feel free to call. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 23:34, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Articles

Well actually the top two are bots. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 10:23, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks -its probably well out of date by now considering how many articles have been created over the last few weeks!. Today I've started the departments in Gabon, and the gabonese national highways!! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 15:58, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Cheers lol just what I needed. Yes I'm setting it up so articles like Mbigou can be started and to try to set up some way we can improve coverage all over the world on here. My ideal would be to get any place started like Koré Maïroua, Pokigron with a photograph but I don't have a gizzilion years to do so!! I've proposed a bot to begin generating thousands of articles but apparently it would not be possible to programme it apprarently. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 16:06, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

New section

I figured I would start a new section since that other one is way up there (the reply one). Anyway, what do you think of The Test Wiki? Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 16:57, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

I will make you a sysop. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 18:11, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Just say on my talk page here on Wikipedia that you created an account and tell me the name. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 18:13, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
You are a sysop, I have to go now. Cheers. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 18:18, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Did you try the protection, deleting, undeleting, blocking, and unblocking tools? Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 19:56, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, The test Wikipedia, Meta, Commons, The Simple English Wikipedia, and Wiktionary. Could be one or two more, not sure. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 21:10, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Yea, he would be good. As for the other questions I will answer them on The Test Wiki. Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 03:45, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry. I just found out that it won't work for 50 sections, only by the # of days. Sorry :( - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:05, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Sadly, no. However, I can have it archive every message that is ____ old, and when it reaches 50 sections, I can move the archive page to the next one. I probably won't forget to change it. But don't sue me if I do ;) - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the Pie! I just have an account on Commons. How many days till it archives the messages? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:12, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't know (about Test-Wiki), about the Cabal, feel free to invite him if you want. Now, every 2 days you will see your archive # 6 growing. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Yep. That's all you do. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:21, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Looks great! The colors are good. (I always thought your old sig was too long) - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:25, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Newsletter looks great! I probably wouldn't be able to help ou t writing it though. :( - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:43, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
