Deadman's Island edits edit

Hi. Nice additions to the history section of the Deadman's Island page. The source you cited is one I've been meaning to read for awhile now. That being said, why did you remove some of the info? Particularly the part about the catch possibly being from 1861-62, and not just 1862? OhSoHeartless (talk) 22:34, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. You also removed a section heading and sourced material from the Portuguese Bend page as well. I do appreciate the information you've added, but could you please be more careful next time. Thank you. OhSoHeartless (talk) 22:43, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I made some additions to the Deadman's Island history section a couple of days ago. But when I went to the Discussion page, I could find no way to add any discussions. I guess I have a lot to learn in this regard. Also, I probably deleted the catch figures by accident while trying to make the whaling history part flow better. When I first added in the material, it all seemed rather jumbled up. Anyway, those are my excuses. Bartam (talk) 04:16, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Portuguese succession crisis of 1580 edit

I noticed you are a relatively new editor. I took the liberty of converting your proposal to rename the page on the 1580 succession crisis into a formal "Request to Move", where other editors are invited to make comments in support or opposition to your proposal. The discussion is ongoing here: Talk:1580 Portuguese succession crisis#Requested move, which you might want to keep an eye on, and maybe respond if anyone has queries. The discussion will be closed by an admin after seven days, and if there is a "consensus" (widespread support, with sensible arguments), it will probably be moved.
