Welcome!

Hello, Barryv, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

It is felt that the article you created at Barry V is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifable. I have moved it to User:Barryv, which is where users are free to write about themselves. You are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion. As a user page it is likely to survive untouched. -- Francs2000 23:41, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest

edit

Please note that it is a conflict of interest to create or edit articles about yourself or subjects to which you are too close to retain a neutral point of view. It is not against Wikipedia policy to do this, but it is not recommended. The article Barry vincent may meet the criteria for deletion if reliable third party sources are not cited to assert the notability of the subject. Please leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions. Leebo86 16:49, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
