I am not an administrator, thus I did not delete your article. What I did was nominate your article for speedy deletion. I did that because I felt that the article read like an advertisement. Additionally, the article did not have any inline citations of reliable sources that could verify any of the information in the article. After the article was nominated, an administrator looked it over, agreed with my rationale, and deleted the article.

I'm not going to compare the merits of your article to a related article because that is counterproductive. All that really matters is that the article on Omerta did not meet Wikipedia's standards and that is why it was removed. If you wish to recreate the article, you may do so. However, there is no guarantee that it will be kept this time either. Read some of the policies that I mention above before recreating the article. They can tell you what information that you should include and how to cite it. The main guideline you need to worry about is this one. You need to prove that Omerta is notable enough to be included in Wikipedia. This can be done by showing source material that talks about the game or provides background and other information. Also, you might look at how some of the other MMORPG articles are structured and follow their format.

Finally, I would suggest that you look at this policy. Generally, editors should not edit or create articles about a subject that they are affiliated with because it is hard to maintain a neutral point of view.

P.S. - I could care less if you donate to Wikimedia, I've never given them anything. I think that allowing an article to exist simply because of monetary gifts would defeat the purpose of Wikipedia. We're here to write an encyclopedia, money is secondary. --Cyrus Andiron 17:39, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
