I'm being confused for shill. I support the name and his general philosophy, but I'm not a puppet.

Ok. I blocked you as a sock of Shill/Pro-Lick/etc for two things. One, you reverted to Pro-Lick's version, an action which sock puppet after sock-puppet of his has been doing today. Second, your first edit ever was around 24 hours after shill first received his user name block, and less thatn an hour after your first edit you dived into the middle of that situation on his side.

Given your protests, though, I will request a user check on this account as soon as I can, and we will see once and for all if this is or is not the same person. If I am wrong, I will apologize fully and lift the block. - TexasAndroid 22:31, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

I have unblocked until the sock check can be performed. By requesting the check I'm admitting at least a small doubt that you are a sock of Shill/Pro-Lick/etc. Since that is the core offense for the block, I cannot really leave it in place until that is established. So you are unblocked for now. If the sock check comes back positive, the block will go right back up. Checkuser has shown that you are, indeed the same user as Shill/etc. The block is returned. The reset 3RR block on the Pro-Lick account has a little over 24 hours left. If you will just sit out this last amount of time, that block will expire, and you can edit with it once more. WP:RCU for the general checkuser page. Here for the archive of the specific request. In this specific case, Essjay is the one who performed the check. In the general, a checkuser involves looking at the IP associated with each edit. In the specific, I cannot tell you what the results showed, as that information is limited to the few people with Checkuser access, like Essjay. This is for privacy reasons. The people who perform the checks will report whether there is a connection between the users in question or not, but will give no specific details of the connection. - TexasAndroid 21:43, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

I can assure you Pro-Lick has a poor understanding of policy. Do not follow zis example; and instead ask and have good comprehension of policy and how it applies to the situation before referencing it.
