Welcome!

Hello, Balon Dagupan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Dagupan have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Dagupan

edit

Hi Balon. Please don't change the population, area, and income class data in the Dagupan article, which are based on reliable sources. Changing this without providing proof in the form of reliable references is considered vandalism. Furthermore, the paragraphs about "center of trade" are entirely propaganda, adding nothing but promotional fluff and is against policy (see WP:POV, WP:SOAPBOX). Please become familiar with the guidelines listed above first. If you need any other guidance on how to edit WP, you can also leave me a message. Thank you. -- P 1 9 9   12:44, 22 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Balon Dagupan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Dagupan, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Millahnna (talk) 18:55, 2 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Dagupan. You've had more than enough warnings and notices about this. This is the last one. Millahnna (talk) 15:21, 3 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for promotional editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Closedmouth (talk) 08:05, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
