Please stay away from adding non-existing links in templates edit

Hi Balagopal, You added Arya Central School in the template of Topics related to Trivandrum. But the article of that school does not exists in wikipedia now. So, please dont add that school name in the template. If you are so particular about adding that school, then create an article on that school, and then add it in the template.

Since you are a new comer here, you may be unaware about these things. So, please note that, if your link appears in Red colour, that indicates that the page does not exists. Only the blue coloured links are the valid links to the existing articles.

So, once you create the article on Arya Central School, the red colour dissappears and will be seen in blue colour. To create the article, click on the red coloured link.

-Thank you. --Samaleks 19:17, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE: About adding a new sub menu edit

Hi Bala, The main tourist attractions in Thiruvananthapuram is already placed in the page : Thiruvananthapuram Tourist spots. That page is about the tourism in Thiruvananthapuram district, and a section talks about the tourist attractions in the city. You can update that page with more details (if any).

The link to that page is given in the See also section in Tvm page (Tourism in Thiruvananthapuram; Under Other topics). The Economy of Thiruvananthapuram article also holds a link to the tourist spots.

Moreover, we need to trim down the size of the Thiruvananthapuram article, by creating sub articles. This size reduction will increase readability. See Wikipedia:Article size.

License tagging for Image:Image-Aryalogo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-Aryalogo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Arya Central School edit

Hi,

I think administative details about the School management can be avoided from the article space. A infobox about the same would be just fine like → Loyola School. Hope this clears your grievance! Jisha (Talk) 10:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Aryalogo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Aryalogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 2 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Aryalogo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Aryalogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 03:06, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

November 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Madhur Bhandarkar has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest edit

Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.

As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.

If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.

You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.
