Videlina Mircheva edit

Hello, the article contains references to pages that do NOT talk about Videlina. Please correct the references. Since it is a biography of a living person the article with this kind of references may be deleted immediately. When somebody clicks the reference URL should read the text that supports what is written in the article, however in the references that you put this is not possible, because they link to homepages, general categories or to "file not found" pages. Please correct them. If you have questions please answer here. --★ Pikks ★ MsG 06:49, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you are correcting the references. If you have questions feel free to ask. If in the article there is some information that does not have a good third party reference, it is better to remove it. It's much better a short article than no article. --★ Pikks ★ MsG 12:05, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Thank you for your advices! I'm new here and I'll try to improve this article and to make it in the right way. I thought about "file not found" pages and I think that this coul happen sometimes because the web sites are bulgarian and some users from different countries may not open them properly. I'm not sure but I haven't such problem with opening pages. Anyway, I'm searching for verifiable sources to connect with the text in the article.Baduizm (talk) 16:07, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please always sign your messages here with --~~~~ at the end of the messages :) - With regards to the article, please remove links such as http://www.bgradio.bg/, http://clubplazma.com/, etc... because these are homepages and in the homepages of those sites there are no information about Videlina. The references must link to a page where the users can find information about what is in the article. If in some subpage of bgradio.bg there are info about Videlina, please put the right link, not a link to the homepage. I can delete those links myself, but you are new here and I think it's better if you do it. --★ Pikks ★ MsG 16:14, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, where are the references for the information in the Early life section? And what about the information in the Singing in a band paragraph? Remember that the article must NOT have links inline. I see youtube links. They must be removed. Furthermore Youtube or Facebook should not be used as references for Biographies of Living People. If they are used, they can be accepted for only raw information like Birth Date, Names, place of birth, work, place of stay. Please read WP:SOURCE. I still can see many information without references, several links inline external links - for this please read WP:ELPOINTS. --★ Pikks ★ MsG 13:51, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I made some changes today and I'll search for more sources to cite in the article. I removed youtube links. But I have a question: How to make references to Videlina's music videos without using youtube or facebook links in External links section? Baduizm (talk) 02:10, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, if you want to write in the article that she made the videos "ZZZ" and "YYY" you should link to a reliable third party website or magazine that confirms it. In some website there should be written that she made this video. However this website should be reliable, not a personal blog. Also an interview with he published in some Music Portal or magazine would be great. The important thing is that the website/portal is a company with editors, editor-in-chief and so on. If there is no such a source you can try to put only one reference to her official youtube channel (if she has one). Where people can see that she made those videos. For me youtube for this purpose would be ok, it's some kind of "raw data", however please note that some other wikipedians may delete it, because youtube links usually should not be put... but usually. I still suggest to find some realiable blogs.--★ Pikks ★ MsG 21:15, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi again! I want to ask you can I use scanned articles about Videlina from newspapers and magazines? Baduizm (talk) 16:49, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, you should not scan them. It's enough to put references to journals and magazines using the right templates. In this page you have the journal template... in the right you have the link to the magazine template. They are good, you just put the magazine data, page, number, name, etc... try it out.... --★ Pikks ★ MsG 21:15, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
