Speedy deletion of Battle of the Snack Shack edit

A tag has been placed on Battle of the Snack Shack, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Matthew "the Iron Fist" Birtchnell‎ edit

Please provide a supporting cite for this article, which, unless it can be shown to be otherwise, looks to me like obvious nonsense. -- The Anome (talk) 23:12, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Matthew "the Iron Fist" Birtchnell edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Matthew "the Iron Fist" Birtchnell, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Matthew "the Iron Fist" Birtchnell. The Anome (talk) 23:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, come on. You have cited a book which seems, like the subject of this article, not to exist. -- The Anome (talk) 23:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Come on then, provide one single verifiable reference. What is the the ISBN of the book you cited? Publisher? These children's boxing workshops in London: where are they, specifically? Can you provide a verifiable reference for this? -- The Anome (talk) 23:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I am going to bed now, I have not yet completed the article and would be really dissapointed if this were to be deleted when i arose. I will find some more "reliable" sources for you tommorrow eveining. -- Baddmind (talk) 23:34, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
I'll userfy it for you. That way, you can move it back to article space when you've provided the cites. Why does his opponent "Rad Eisenhower" not seem to be referred to anywhere on the Internet, either? By the way, what is the name of the school in Bexley where he teaches? -- The Anome (talk) 23:37, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Now userfied to User:Baddmind/Matthew "the Iron Fist" Birtchnell. As per our good faith principles, I've restored the article to its original location, and have listed it on AfD per the WP:BIO criteria, which is what I should have done in the first instance. This should give you the opportunity to provide the source cites you have promised. I look forward with eagerness to your no-doubt-soon-forthcoming verifiable cites from clearly identifiable reliable sources, particularly the ones which give the publisher and ISBN details for "The Complete History of German Boxing" -- which should be no problem for you, since you are able to give page cites -- and also the coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources which demonstrates that the article's subject meets the WP:BIO criteria. -- The Anome (talk) 00:08, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Still no sources provided. -- The Anome (talk) 11:04, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The School is Beths Grammar School and I am currently trying to retrieve the book from the library as to attain these details for you, also I you post at 11.04 this morning claiming to no sources provided, some of us have school to go to, you obviously currently have nothing better to do. -- User:Baddmind (talk) 17:21, 10 March 2008 (GMT)

That's strange, since you appeared to have the book at your fingertips over the weekend, when you were apparently able to give page references. -- The Anome (talk) 21:11, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I took notes from the book as I was not able to take it from the library. -- User:Baddmind (talk) 22:49, 10 March 2008 (GMT)
Well, there you go. Just go back to the library and copy down the ISBN for the book, and we can all go and look it up in the various online and offline catalogs. No need to take the book out at all. -- The Anome (talk) 23:47, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
...which you should now have had plenty of time to do. -- The Anome (talk) 00:38, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
The article has now been deleted as unverifiable. Given your continued inability to come up with a verifiable source, in spite of having initially sourced the article to an apparently nonexistent book, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that this article was a hoax. Can you please explain your motivations for doing this? -- The Anome (talk) 11:56, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you go fuck yourself? -- User:Baddmind (talk) 15:26, 31 March 2008 (GMT)

Files missing description details edit

Dear uploader: The media files you uploaded as:

are missing a description and/or other details on their image description pages. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the images, and they will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the images may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 09:09, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Old St Marys Logo.jpg edit

The file File:Old St Marys Logo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File source problem with File:Dancing Brave.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Dancing Brave.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
