Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page Star Wars have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Kuru talk 04:05, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I only added one link to the Star wars page. The link is relevant. Who the hell are you anyway?

You're spamming the same link to many different pages which are only loosely related to the topic of your forum. Please read WP:EL when you get a chance. WP:CIVIL may also help. Kuru talk 04:10, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to use Wikipedia for advertising, you will be blocked from editing. Kuru talk 04:11, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

What is the point of having links then? Stop talking gibberish. Wpel? Speaky english???

Oh fine. While you try and figure out what the hell you mean I'll play around with my handle page. I assume THATS ok with you? You remind me of an old granny.

It's a link - you can click on it to read the policy: WP:EL. Good luck. Kuru talk 04:18, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

These internet cafes cost by the minute. There was no warning about all this red type on the front page. It explicitly says ANYBODY can participate. Nothing about wading through crap first.

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Rhobite 05:13, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jeez louise! I said I would stop didn't I! I was warned that Wikipedians contradict themselves and each other. Do you do anything here besides attacking newbies?

I'm not sure what you meant when you said "Oh fine..." above. If that was where you agreed to stop spamming, it wasn't a sincere promise, since after you posted that message, you spammed Philip Plait with links to your forum. Promising to stop is great, but after you make a promise you have to follow through. Thanks. Rhobite 14:27, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Explanations and welcome edit

Howdy Bad Astronomer. I'll just briefly mention, that the corollary of your being able to edit any page, is that anyone else can too. With over 1 million articles, and 1 million registered users, this is a fairly complex endeavour! The formal "please only link according to our guidelines" messages are templates for warning new editors that their additions are going to keep being removed, so they might want to read the relevant rules to avoid futile effort. I'll put a welcome template below this, it contains a small handful of very useful links, that will hopefully give you a good summary of our community perspectives:

Hi Bad Astronomer, and welcome to Wikipedia.

Thanks for finding the time to contribute to our project. Here are some pages you might find helpful:

And some quick tips:

  • When discussing something on a talk page, you can sign your name by typing four tildes after your comments, like this: ~~~~
  • Remember to use the 'Show preview' function before saving a page
  • It's also a good idea to sign the new user log and add a little about yourself. – Quiddity 18:21, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Request for investigation edit

I've posted a Wikipedia:Requests_for_investigation#New_requests regarding your incessant linkspamming. I'm noticing you so you can post whatever you think would be appropriate in your defense. - Reaverdrop (talk/nl/wp:space) 03:21, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Whats the point? This is a Kangaroo court. I've done absolutely nothing wrong and your actions have been nothing short of obscene. The feeble claim that websites are of no value if the owner posts them has no substance and is your only argument. A friend posted links to my sites and he was similarly harassed, stalked around wikipedia, falsely accused of being a vandal/sockpuppet then permanently banned for no reason whatsoever. Clearly the administrators at Wikipedia consider themselves superior to mere visitors and feel they can stomp on them at any time they want without even giving a sane reason for their despicable behaviour. User Universe today posted here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Jonathan_Breck and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Atomic_rocket I now look forward to the day when Wikipedia is closed down for being an abusive website. I'll be doing everything in my power to help it happen. You people sicken me. Bad Astronomer 01:19, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Thanks for all 687 emails with only the word "POOFTER!!" in each one. That must have taken you ages. Whilst you were devoting all that time to that profitable endeavour, I had sex! I think I win. ЯEDVERS 20:02, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
