December 2011 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to BMX bike, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "helpme" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: BMX bike was changed by Bacon142 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.956054 on 2011-12-14T18:45:30+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 18:45, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

  This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

  Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Graphic designer. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Calabe1992 19:03, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Graphic designer, you will be blocked from editing.

  This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to BMX bike. Calabe1992 19:11, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text , but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. I Wish to be unblocked. I am very sorry for the "Silly mistakes" I may have made

Request reason:

I have grown up since my days of vandalizing and i wish to correct some urgent mistakes i have noticedBacon142 (talk) 19:36, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
  2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
     • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
     • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
     • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
     • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
  3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
  4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
  5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), place at the end of the prose you copied this template reflist-talk and then save.
  • Now, edit that content to propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:08, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hmmmm, you're going to need a stronger unblock request than that. What exactly do you plan on doing? Thekillerpenguin (talk) 19:56, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Even if we had extended WP:OFFER, you would have had to "grow up" for at least 6 months, AND prove to us that you have a) never edited Wikipedia anonymously, and b) have significant successful/positive edits on another Wikimedia project. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:47, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • My experience is that quite often, people who start the way you did on Wikipedia come back later and contribute constructively, so I am willing to consider unblocking you. However, please help me by giving an indication of what kind of editing you are thinking of doing. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:26, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am still waiting. I hope you will answer my query soon. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:30, 20 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

In the article About Aaron Ross professional BMX ride i noticed that when you click the word "Pro" in the article it takes you to an inappropriate link and i wish to fix this and other minor mistakes i have noticed while researching information on Wikipedia. Please give me one more chance to try to improve this website for future users I promise i will no longer vandalizeBacon142 (talk) 14:57, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

I am willing to give you another chance. I hope you can edit constructively from now on.JamesBWatson (talk) 10:15, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the spam, thanks. Also, letting JamesBWatson know about your new request. Max Semenik (talk) 15:18, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you cannot follow the instructions in your last unblock, I'm not sure how you'll be able to succeed on this project. You were asked to copy/paste an article here, and make SUBSTANTIAL edits to it in order to a) show you understand, b) can provide sources, and c) prove you're really here to contribute. Your unblock above meets none of those (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 15:23, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
