Information icon Hello, I'm Arjayay. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Florence Ballard, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Babytutta, I am KDS4444. I understand your motivations and intent with regard to the article on Flo Ballard. It is important for you to read the following Wikipedia guidelines:
They should be able to explain to you why ArJayAy removed your previous edits to the article, and give you an idea about how you can contribute in the future. It is clear you are operating in good faith, and that is very important— it is also possible that some of your edits to the article on Flo Ballard can be put back in under the right circumstances. If you have more questions, I would be glad to help you out (also, when you make an entry on someone's talk page, it is customary to "sign" the entry by putting four "tildes" ~~~~ at the end as this will generate your signature automatically and make it easier to follow you). Thank you for your contributions! KDS4444Talk 06:12, 21 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey, again. Coupla quick things:
  • When you want to communicate with another Wikipedia editor, it is usually considered normal practice to write on their talk page rather than their user page: user pages are typically set aside for an editor to present themselves to the Wikipedia world, and it is very unusual for another editor to alter someone's user page. I know this may seem confusing! User pages are for people to present themselves, and talk pages are where they can interact with others. You do not currently seem to have a user page, and you certainly do not need to have one to edit Wikipedia! But note that I am right now contacting you via your talk page (which is different). If you ever decide you want to set up your user page, and if you want some direction on that, there are lots of resources available to help you do so (and I can help with that, if you like).
  • For the above reasons, I have deleted your comment from my own user page-- not that the comment is in any way inappropriate or offensive, but because it belongs on my talk page rather than my user page. I would move it there myself, but that is not something for me to be doing (since it is your comment, not mine).
  • Regarding Flo... I am wondering if there are ways I can help you make the points you are trying to make in a format outside of Wikipedia, since that is where your information would need to be presented/ published first: in a format that is non-Wikipedia. And since the conversation would not be related to Wikipedia, perhaps we should take it "off-pedia", as it were: you are welcome to contact me via my email address which is available by visiting my user page (which I know you know how to find!) and clicking on the "Email this user" link located under "Tools" on the left hand side of the page. Let me know (either here on your talk page, or over on mine, since I will be watching both) if you have any trouble with that (Of course, you are not under any obligation to do any of this, but I can tell you have some personal passion about this topic and I firmly believe that truth is truth and that to the extent that it really is true it should be shared— I am willing to help with that, to the extent and in the ways that I am able to, if that also interests you, and with the understanding that Wikipedia will not be the format for any personal information or knowledge to be broadcast until it has been published in some other format).
  • And so, I am at your service, Babytutta. I hope to hear from you soon, one way or another. KDS4444Talk 12:38, 21 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • My dear, I got your note. You keep adding things to my user page rather than my talk page (though I have read the comment and you are very welcome). I have again removed this one, and encourage you to edit my talk page (rather than my user page) if you ever wish to reach me in the future. No harm, no foul, just Wikipedia etiquette. Hey, also: you didn't sign your comment with the expected four tildes so your name was not attached to it. Just something to think about for the future, since it is easier to see at a quick glance who wrote what if everything is signed that way. As I finish this sentence I am going to type the tilde character, ~, four times and then click "Save page" and my own signature will automatically appear at the end of it (the four tildes will be replaced with "KDS4444 Talk" upon saving the page). July 2014 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Ypsilanti, Michigan has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Greetings edit

Hello there. So I got a notification via email that you had made a comment on my talk page recently, but when I looked I didn't see anything, and figured there must have been some kind of error. Just now I figured out what happened! When you edit someone's talk page (which was the right place to make your edit! Yay!) you need to make sure you first scroll to the END of the page and add your comments, whatever they may be, at the very BOTTOM of the page (because that is where everyone always puts new comments on talk pages, at the bottom-- see? Like I did here on your talk page?). Also, before you make your actual comment, it is helpful to put a header on the comment by typing the equals sign twice, then two or three words summarizing your soon-to-be-written comment, then two more equals signs, and then press the return key. NOW you can enter your comment, and it will have a header. Lastly, please please get in the habit of SIGNING your comments on talk pages using the tilde method I told you about before. Do you understand what I am saying when I say that? Perhaps you do not, and that's fine, just say so! Lastly, I suggested we take this conversation off-wiki. Do you understand how to send me an email directly? If not, I will try to send one to you and we can discuss this issue further from there. Sound good? KDS4444Talk 14:10, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.

Ypsilanti edit

Hi Babytutta64: Thanks for your thanks message! I was already typing this :-) Notice that I wikilinked Nickolas Ashford to demonstrate that he has an article and included a reference; there's a notice at the top of the section visible in editing mode that says:

NOTICE * * * NOTICE * * * NOTICE * * * * * * * * * * * *NOTICE * * * NOTICE * * * NOTICE• Only people who already have a Wikipedia article may appear here. This establishes notability. • The article must mention how they are associated with the community, whether born, raised, or residing. • The fact of their association should have a reliable source cited. • Alphabetical by last name please • All others will be deleted without further explanation

END OF NOTICE * * * * * * * * * * * * END OF NOTICE * * * * * * * * * * * *END OF NOTICE

You were not following this, which was the main reason you were being reverted. Also, you still seem to be having trouble figuring out where to add things - I investigated after seeing your messages at User talk:ClueBot Commons, which were left in random places, after existing header text. What you do is make a new heading at the bottom of the talk page using ==your heading text here== and then type your message underneath. You could also have posted a new message at Talk:Ypsilanti, Michigan - there's a tab at the top of every article page that will take you to its talk page. Perhaps your problem is that the phone or other mobile device you are using makes it hard for you to see hidden notices or to use some of the mark-up symbols? But I believe the mobile editing interface must have some way for you to do tehse things - it probably just looks different from what I see on my desktop. • Here is a link to what I typed. If you hit the "History" tab at the top of any page on Wikipedia, you see a list of edits to the page, with times and editors' names or IPs; the "diff" link on the left displays what was changed each time. (In this case the article uses citation templates for references, so that's what I used. References can be done in many ways.) Yngvadottir (talk) 14:46, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hitting nerves? edit

Hi, I recently read your edit to my talk page, and am now a bit confused... You mentioned something about "hitting a nerve"?? I don't understand (but maybe I am just not paying enough attention). I thought we were both on the same page, and I remain quite interested in hearing your story re: Flo-- I never got a direct email from you as per my offer above, so was not sure if you yourself retained any interest in pursuing the subject further. I have been developing some ideas to share with you about how you might go forward, but as I already said, that should happen off-wiki. Any chance I can get you to send me an email?? I certainly don't want to touch off any nerves, and I don't think you have hit any of mine (yet!). Am here to listen and help to the extent I can. Get in touch via email directly to me if you like, yes? I look forward to maybe hearing from you soon! KDS4444[[User |Talk]] 12:21, 6 July 2014 (UTC==hiittng nerves== It is quite okay. Life has moved on thank God, and someone that understood that I needed assistance alot more than unconstructive criticism came to my rescue. But, thats what happens when one is unattentive. By the way, I realized what page we were on when I saw I was even more confused after reading your last message. But, someone was nice enough to not only assist me, but made any/all necessary corrections. Maybe one day, when we are on the same page, I will share the details of my friendship with Flo. In the meantime, you take care of yourself.
