Wikipedia is not the place to promote yourself edit

While writing a biography about yourself, though difficult, is still possible, that does not contradict the fact that Wikipedia is not the place to promote yourself or your music career. We're not a social media network. All we do here is cite, summarize, and paraphrase professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources, without addition, nor commentary.

If you still want to try to write an article about yourself, click this link to see instructions on how to write an article that will not be rejected or deleted. If those instructions are currently impossible to follow, then you do not meet the standards we require new articles to meet.

Stop trying to use the talk page as a draft space, it makes it very hard to communicate with you. Use your sandbox instead, or even your user page. Ian.thomson (talk) 09:06, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Purpose of user pages edit

Please read about user pages. Your user page, should you choose to have one, is where you can put basic information, if you wish, about yourself or your Wikimedia-related activities. Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia, which is why yours was deleted. Your user talk page is for messages from, and discussion with, other editors. --David Biddulph (talk) 09:08, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Seriously, knock it off edit

This is your talk page. This is a place for people to leave you messages and for you to respond to them, not a draft page. You already have User:B major SA/sandbox, use that for your article draft. Stop posting links, stop treating this like a blog or social media site, focus on citing independent professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because it is clear that you are here not to contribute to building the encyclopedia, but to use Wikipedia as a host for a self-promotional personal web page, which you have continued to attempt to do despite being informed that it is contrary to Wikipedia policy. If you are interested in starting to contribute to the encyclopaedia in a neutral, non-promotional way, on subjects unconnected to yourself, you may request an unblock by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of this page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. • Note: Much of your self-promotional editing has been on this talk page. At present you are still able to edit this page, so that you have the opportunity to request an unblock, as described above. Access to editing this page is not provided in order for you to be able to continue the kind of editing that led to the block, and if you do so then talk page access will be removed.
