Bad Parmigiano

Begging pardon, sir, but if substandard parmigiano wheels are not declassified to grana padano, just what happens to them? My source about that is not the most reliable ever (a travel magazine), but I have no reason to disbelieve the article where I found that bit. I really don't know what happens to the substandard wheels, but they surely DON'T become Grana Padano. Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano are different cheeses (although they do have similar taste), produced by different consortiums. -- Box266
