Bertrand's ballot theorem

Hello BPets. I've just reverted your edit at Bertrand's ballot theorem, although I appreciate the contents. So please don't take offence. However, as said in my edit summary, this should be merged into the previous text which discusses the reflection method; since it is basically the same proof, there is no point in adding a new one. (By contrast, it would be interesting to discuss the original proof by André here, which is really different.) Let me note that if you need to access the text you added, it is still accessible through the "View history" tab, from where you can even "edit" old versions to grab the source text, after which the "edit" is best abandoned. Thanks Marc. That's a good suggestion, although the original proof has some merit in that it also solves an important variant of the problem, so I've moved it to a new section on this. BPets (talk) 11:08, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
