Welcome! edit

Hello, BLS93, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Lamar Advertising Company, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 15:38, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edits at Lamar Advertising Company edit

Can you please not try and brute-force your additions into Lamar Advertising Company?

Your additions are totally uncited, written in a promotional tone, and while the history stuff is great (but uncited) a lot of the rest appears to be promoting the company. If you want to contribute to the article you must follow the rules of WP:Neutrality and WP:Sourcing. Repeatedly pasting in content you've been told is inappropriate is just going to get your account locked and the article edit-protected.

Seriously, it can't be that hard to just go to Google Books, find some facts about the company's history, and footnote them into the article. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:29, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please read and understand the messages that both me and other editors have left you above before editing. You cannot copy-and-paste copyrighted materials into Wikipedia; that constitutes a copyright violation, and we take those seriously. Repeatedly adding copyrighted and promotional materials is grounds for a block. Thank you. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 17:15, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Lamar Advertising edit

Hello BLS93. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Lamar Advertising".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Lamar Advertising}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 14:00, 10 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
