Brent Chua

edit

Hello, I see you undid my edits in Chua's article and I thought I would come here and explain why my edits are valid and why I returned them. First, the term "supermodel" is considered a non-neutral assessment on Wikipedia and articles should only use the term when the instance of them being dubbed so is very notable - it's not good enough that any old website said it. Second, blogs are generally not to be used as refs, even if they verify the content. Please read WP:RS and that will explain further.  Mbinebri  talk ← 16:21, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, you don't seem to be very interested in policy or explanations, and I'm not interested in an edit war, so I made an edit that hopefully will be a compromise, as "supermodel" should NOT be used in the lead sentence, but I left the "Asian male supermodel" part in with a little more specifics. As for the blog ref, again, WP:RS doesn't allow them, so the claim needs a better source. Please do not revert this edit - I'm trying to work with you here; I don't want to have to tag the article as a COI case or have to report you to admins.  Mbinebri  talk ← 17:01, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
In response to your comment on my talk: do you agree with my compromise? Because I was about five seconds from reporting you to admins with the assumption that you logged out and are continuing to revert my edits as the IP 124.197.109.101 to avoid being blocked. But if this is not you and you agree with the compromise, we can go back to that version.  Mbinebri  talk ← 17:32, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello B.manotoc. See WP:AN3#B.manotoc reported by Mbinebri (Result: ). You have been edit-warring on this article, and a block is being considered. Mbinebri's comments about the need for reliable sources are correct. If you know Brent Chua's career, you may be able to find some actual press coverage (real newspapers or magazines, or edited websites that have a reporting staff and a reputation). Blogs are not considered reliable sources. If you continue as you are, you will most likely be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please think about this carefully. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for using your IP to continue an edit war per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/B.manotoc. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
