Including in-line citations in your lead paragraph

edit

Hi, B.chachere! I was just glancing through some of the work of editors in your class, and I think you guys are doing some great work. Just wanted to remind you to try to add citations within the 'lead' of your article (the intro paragraph), especially as this is often the main source of information for readers! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me or User:Mike Christie if you have any questions or would like any advice. Thanks! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 23:25, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program

edit

Hi B.chachere! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited African-American family structure, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Mortality and Kin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
