  Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
  Hello, Azumi121. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 16:19, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Changing the topic of an article

edit

Hi, hijacking an article by changing the subject of a biography is highly disruptive. I've moved the article back to it's original state. If you want to create Ryan Avery (speaker) then go ahead but do it in a seperate new article, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 19:40, 28 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your post at the Biographies of LIving Persons noticeboard

edit

I am answering your query here because the question didn't quite fit into the goal of the noticeboard you posted it to.

When you wish to create an article for someone with the same name as the topic of an existing article, you add a phrase in parentheses after the title to disambiguate it from other people of that name. In this case, the title would be Ryan Avery (speaker) (not "keynote speaker", because we want the simplest information needed to disambiguate from other Ryan Averies; not capitalized "Speaker" because we want a profession, not a title.)

Having seen your prior attempt to create an article for this individual, I will recommend that you use our Articles For Creation process, which will allow someone to check the article and make sure it's appropriate before it goes live. If you have some connection to Mr. Avery, you should review our guidelines on recognizing when you have a conflict of interest and how to contribute to Wikipedia when you do so.

Let me know if you have any further questions. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:41, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Please revert your move of Ryan Avery as it is disruptive. Do not overwrite any articles with different people. Atlantic306 (talk) 03:45, 20 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

  This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Do not hijack articles by changing their subjects. Atlantic306 (talk) 03:54, 20 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ryan Avery

edit

Hi, yes you are welcolme to create a draft article on him if you like but the title will need disambiguation meaning putting his profession in brackets after his name such as Ryan Avery (businessman) or what is appropriate, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 15:29, 4 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Noted on disambiguation. Thank you so much talk.
