Testing tor with ipbe and such

You might want to use a normal account since admins have IPBE by default. –xenotalk 22:53, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

nope, admins doesn't have ipbe by default (can confirm that :)), but anyway, need to fix the underlying problem instead. AzaToth 22:55, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
This page needs updated if that's true. –xenotalk 22:59, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Admins have IPBE the right, not IPBE the group. Bypassing tor requires a seperate right that's defined in IPBE-group, but is seperate from IPBE-right. Q T C 23:10, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
<sheepish grin> of course, if I had read that page I linked, I would've known that ("Bypass automatic blocks of tor exit nodes (torunblocked)"). Thank you for explaining. –xenotalk 23:47, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Help concerning Annoying User

I saw that you were an Active member of the user warning program and thought you could help me out with user: Jeffro77. He keeps editing and posting agressive comments on my page, I got tired o treating him like as an adult so I started annoying him back, I apologize I know it was wrong but he won't stop. He closely monitors my contributions to several pages specially the contributions towards a group of people called Jehova's Witnesses and always modifies or undo all my edits even though they are right. By my history you can see how I began to erase opinions (since wikipedia as a online encyclopedia looks for facts), harmful statements towards Jehova's Witness and other people that include wrong citations or no citations or references at all. Jeffro77 keeps leaving comments under my page and editing or undoing what I have rightfully deleted according to wikipedia standards and guidelines I myself have annoyed him as well but only under my page. I just want someone with some sort of authority to tell him to concentrate on editing rather on attacking or aggravating other users and their comments. Thankyou in advanceWladimir Bravo (talk) 18:57, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Wladimir Bravo

I specifically stated to User:Wladimir Bravo at the outset that: "it is appropriate to remove unsourced or unverifiable material", and I have not undone any of the user's edits where such information has been removed. The JW project articles are in my watchlist, so I inherently "closely monitor" edits to those pages. See the user's misrepresentation of references at Jehovah's Witensses[1], the history of Wladimir Bravo's talk page for their inappropriate actions regarding changing my previous comments, as well as the history of my userpage where the user impersonated an admin by posting a 'blocked' template.--Jeffro77 (talk) 22:46, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

MediaWiki:Gadget-UTCLiveClock.js

Hello! Would it be possible to create a modified version of this that displays the clock to the left of the default links (instead of to the right)? That way, it could be added without altering those links' positions. —David Levy 18:58, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

  • It's possible; Why I have it "on the right" is that I'm using an modified theme where personal tools are located above navigation instead. AzaToth 20:24, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Add
UTCLiveClockConfig = {}
UTCLiveClockConfig.nextNodeId = "pt-userpage";
to your monobook.js.
Configuring gadgets like that is a bit itchy and subject to race conditions, but will normally work.

That worked perfectly. Thanks! —David Levy 02:24, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

#wikinews-feeds

Hello AzaToth, did you create the chan IRC #wikinews-feeds ? I search the creator for more informations about it... Thanks, --Sniff (talk) 02:25, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

It's correct I created it. AzaToth 19:22, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Good  . Would it be possible to implement a chan like #wikinews-feeds for French Wikinews (#wikinews-feeds-fr) ? I showed it to other users and we would like the same thing with our French news sites. Could you create this chan please ? --Sniff (talk) 23:57, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Actually you can do it by your self (anyone with an wikipedia cloak can operate the bot) :) 1: as channel operator, invite NewsWire; 2: Issue "NewsWire feed add <id> "<title>" <rss/atom> <uri>; 3: done
