{{editsemiprotected}} St Christopher's College of Medicine (SCCM) was the subject of BBC coverage which highlighted the school as an example of a loophole allowing essentially unregulated medical schools to operate in the UK.[2] This led to an investigation by the General Medical Council,[3] resulting in the withdrawal of registration of at least one doctor. The GMC website was subsequently amended to include a list of schools deemed unacceptable for registration, including St Christopher's College of Medicine.[4][5][6]. St Christopher Iba Mar Diop (SCIMD) College of Medicine came into existence in 2006 and now accredited with Premier College status by the UK-based Accreditation Service for International Colleges, ASIC,[7] which allows local and foreign students to study in the College, but is deemed unacceptable by the GMC for primary registration[8]. The SCIMD College of Medicine is also recognised by the UKBA[1] as a sponsor of employees and students. --Ayoonatola (talk) 15:17, 29 January 2010 (UTC)AyoonatolaReply

Welcome and thanks for wanting to improve the St Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine article. I've untranscluded the {{editsemiprotected}} template, since it is only used to flag a edit request on an article talk page. I might have moved this to that article's talk page for you, but you seem to have enough edits to be autoconfirmed, so I not sure what it is you are planning. If you are unsure of how to do things here, feel free to ask a question on my talk page or use the {{helpme}} template here on your talk page to ask a random volunteer. Good luck, Celestra (talk) 16:23, 29 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
