Speedy deletion nomination of Equato Encryption

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Equato Encryption, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Note that I tagged your article as "blatant nonsense", even though it may contain some neat ideas for a college freshman. The main reason why Wikipedia is not the place for such stuff is that your text is original research. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and should only contain material that has been well established, i.e., is notable and referenced in reliable (secondary) sources. Hope that helps. If you have any further questions feel free to ask! Nageh (talk) 22:10, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ok, Ayan and Akshay, you think your idea is so great that it should not be deleted. Apart from the fact that it is original research, which we cannot accept as I told you before and which you decide to ignore, what is the great idea? What are you trying to explain at all? Do you describe transformations of the plaintext to ciphertext, or transformations of the key space? If it is the former, what aspect of it generalizes Shannon's concept of a substitution-permutation cipher, and Luby-Rackoff's proof that a sufficiently iterated design provides a pseudo-random permutation? Do you understand anything of what I'm saying? I guess no. Your article will be deleted. </rant> Nageh (talk) 07:51, 11 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
