Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:AwesomeMattSinegar, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 10:36, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:AwesomeMattSinegar. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. plicit 12:30, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

So, the problem is it looks like a personal webpage instead of a WP:user page -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:33, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

What does a user do now?

The page was deleted by an uninvolved administrator who agreed your user page violated user page guidelines, as linked above. How do you proceed, AwesomeMattSinegar? If you're here to help create the world's best online encyclopedia, just start helping out and don't try making the same mistake. A userpage can contain all sorts of things, but the consensus seems to be your only edits have been to promote yourself in your own page. If you try it again, you'll find wikipedians will be even less kind next time. So are you a wikipedian or just a self-promoter using Wikipedia as a free webhost? The rest of us will watch to see which choice you make. BusterD (talk) 15:22, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
