book cover - TLM statue photo edit
Hello Avda-berlin,
I am thinking of using your photo of The Little Mermaid as a small image on the back cover of a book. I understand this is possible with the ShareAlike license noted. I just want to reconfirm. The page is a little confusing as it says it is in the public domain and then not - as it was obviously taken recently.

- Hello Waynepc, thanks for your request and for making me aware of the license issues on the page. I wanted to publish it under CC-BY-SA, and therefore you can use it as long as you state somehwere that the image was done by "Avda" or "avda-foto.de" and that it's published under CC-BY-SA. That is enough for me. Also i cleaned up the page a bit. Would be neat to get a photo of the back cover via mail. :-)

Of course! I haven't definitively chosen your image of the TLM to use on the book (It would be cutout - no background), as I have my own and other sources, but I really like your photo. Good lighting and angle. My photos that I took when I was there were during a gray sky and the statue was darker / not polished? (2006) I would credit you on the copyright page, the back cover itself, and perhaps in an acknowledgements page at the back of the book (I say perhaps, because I don't have an acknowledgements page yet). Thanks for cleaning up the licensing info - now it is clear. I'll keep you posted. My goal is to get the book published in the next couple of months.
