Germinal G. Van

edit

Germinal Gérard Van is an author, political essayist and intellectual. He focuses his on political philosophy and American constitutional politics. He has published American Political Culture: An Observation From The Outside and Equal Under The Law: A Reflection on Amendment XIV and the Concept of Citizenship. He was born and raised in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire in 1990. He moved to the United States in 2010 under a student visa. He is today a US Permanent Resident. He attended the Catholic University of America where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2014. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree in politics from the Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University in 2017.

Germinal Gérard Van was born on February 27, 1990, in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) in West Africa. He pursued his primary education in Abidjan. In 2001, he and his sister, Jennifer, moved to Nairobi, Kenya, to complete his secondary education. He subsequently returned to Abidjan in 2005 to finish up his secondary education, then earned his High School Diploma in 2010. He moved to the United States that same year with a student visa, to complete his undergraduate education. As he is not a native English speaker, Germinal had to enroll in intensive English classes for non-English native speakers as a prerequisite before embarking on his undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of America. The program was meant to last at most a full academic year. In 2011, Germinal was able to start his undergraduate studies. At the Catholic University of America, Germinal majored in Government (comparative politics) and minored in Philosophy and French Literature. He obtained his BA in Government in 2014. During the Fall of 2015, Germinal enrolled at the George Washington University to complete an MA in Politics, afterward graduated in 2017. Debating politics has always been a passion for Germinal. He has therefore decided to convert that passion for politics into writing. He believed that expressing political thoughts into writings is the best way to sensitize and educate those who have been fed by the mass media due to their limited access to education. Germinal has naturally focused his work on politics, especially on political and legal theory. He has published some of his essays on his LinkedIn page and finally wrote his very first book on his thoughts regarding the way whereby politics transcends into the culture in the United States. He has given lectures and conferences in Washington, D.C. about his published works.
