Your GA nomination of Bi Yirong

The article Bi Yirong you nominated as a good article has failed  ; see Talk:Bi Yirong for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jaguar -- Jaguar (talk) 15:41, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

Mirrors

Thanks for contributing to the article Chinese Taipei at the 1994 Asian Games ‎. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Speedy A7/G1 for Reghunadhan Nair

Hello Spike789 -- I've declined the suggested speedy because the article has clear claims which could meet WP:PROF and it was not nonsense. With these wall-of-text articles it often helps to look at them in edit mode, as the paragraphing has usually been lost. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 02:30, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of List of Hillary Clinton presidential campaign political endorsements, 2016

A few points:

  • Careful with your use of talk-page templates (seen here). In this case I don't care, but in others situations it could upset some users and just inflame an already tense situation. They come off as condescending once you have a few edits under your belt.
  • The reason the mentioned article exists is because of an in-progress content split. I left a comment saying exactly this. If you checked the edit history of the article, it would have been extremely obvious.
  • You should check how old an article is before nominating for speedy delete. List of Hillary Clinton presidential campaign political endorsements, 2016 was less than 10 minutes old when you put the template up. During that time I was working on the other half of the split, the non-political endorsement article. Obvious vandalism and such, of course, but for things like this, just wait an hour or two.

Happy editing. Brightgalrs (/braɪtˈɡæl.ərˌɛs/)[1] 21:01, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Antoni Cerdan

Hello Spike789. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Antoni Cerdan, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not nonsense - there is meaningful content. Thank you. - GB fan 21:15, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter No.2

Hello Auth0RiTy,

A HUGE backlog

We now have 816 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.

Hitting 17,000 soon

The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.

Second set of eyes

Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.

Abuse

This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and

  1. this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
  2. this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
  3. This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
