October 2019 edit

  Hello, AustinLeeArt. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  MER-C 18:37, 15 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I created the artist page, not for promotional purposes. There are so many artist pages with basic information. I am working at the gallery but the gallery doesn't represent him. I don't make any financial gain from making this page, but want to support young artists by providing quality information of them online. I was middle of editing the page (about to rephrase and add a proper reference to make the page more fact-base) but I can't edit it further because my account has been blocked suddenly. If it's still regarded as having a conflict of interest that I am working at the gallery. I will disclose it immediately!

Decline reason:

The statement "I am working at the gallery but we don't represent him" does not jibe with the fact your username uses his name. You will need to go into much more detail about your/your gallery's relationship to Austin Lee before unblocking can be considered. You should also propose a new username if you are not Austin Lee. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 20:02, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

(edit-conflict) The tone of your article was completely inappropriate as well. I suspect no admin will unblock you unless you agree to refrain from writing about Austin Lee and any other subject for which you have a conflict of interest. --Yamla (talk) 20:05, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
