editCan I comment? I ask because of our past interactions. I think some of your proposals are quite reasonable.Volunteer Marek (talk) 01:05, 3 January 2018 (UTC)
- See User:Atsme/Blocking policy proposal, Volunteer Marek. I harbor no hostility toward you. I may get upset over something I feel is noncompliant or fails NPOV, but I don't hold grudges. I welcome your input. The goal is to get the policy right. Atsme📞📧 01:28, 3 January 2018 (UTC)
- I've never been blocked, can I comment? And if so, where? Thanks, L3X1 Happy2018! (distænt write) 15:31, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- L3X1, I included the link in my reply to VM. Comment away. Atsme📞📧 16:11, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'd like to add that I hope nobody thinks that this is exclusively a discussion for previously blocked editors. It should definitely be open to anyone. --Tryptofish (talk) 18:49, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
TBAN and DS
editThis should include more than blocking per se. Admins are too often issuing excessive and unwarranted topic bans, especially at WP:AE using WP:AC/DS. The ongoing ARCA at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment#Amendment request: American politics 2 (permalink) is pertinent. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 21:47, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- Tbans, and sanctions (other than blocks) that are issued under DS, are subject to appeal, and tbans are rarely issued by a single administrator without discussion. Do you see a reason why records or logs of those things might need to be amended later? --Tryptofish (talk) 00:00, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
