Jan & Dean singles edit

Hello, Atozafit1. I was the one who revised the Jan & Dean singles list yesterday. You mentioned that half of the singles are missing from this update; however, there is a 50 count in the original list and a 46 count in the revision (my apologies for overlooking the last two; I just added them into an saved list pending to be copied and pasted back here).

Two of the singles in the original list should belong in other categories: "Move Out Little Mustang"/"Bucket Seats" is by The Rally-Packs aka The Fantastic Baggys and should not be included here. "Summertime, Summertime"/"Theme From Leon's Garage" is by Our Gang which consists of Dean Torrence and Gary Zekley; this one should be placed under "Dean Torrence Related singles"

I was able to confirm a 45 of "Ocean Park Angel", but backed with "Wipe Out" by The Surfaris on J&D 1271. Do you have a label & # for the single backed with "Blue Moon"? I wasn't able to confirm it.

Before resending the revised information, please verify any other additions that I may have overlooked.

Hope this information helps and I appreciate your assistance.

Thank you. DYNAMIC D — Preceding unsigned comment added by DYNAMIC D (talkcontribs) 19:37, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

November 2014 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Jan and Dean may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Disambiguation link notification for February 27 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of songs recorded by the Beach Boys, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wild Honey. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Beach Boys edit

Hi. I see you're getting the hang of editing articles. We have a project, Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/500, whose aim is to get all of the 500 albums listed on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time to at least good article status, and as you can see, Pet Sounds, listed at number 2, is still to do, so it's the highest priority article out of the entire list. I could improve it myself, but I don't have a good array of sources to write about it - but you might. Does this interest you? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:50, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

This submission should have been accepted - while our policy on songs doesn't give a "free pass" on anything that charts in the Billboard Hot 100, something narrowly missing the top ten is probably okay. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:02, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Exhaustive list of song covers versus WP:SONGCOVER edit

It looks like you are aiming for an exhaustive list of every song cover that has been recorded. This goal goes against the guideline at WP:SONGCOVER which says that only notable song covers should be listed. Notable cover version have been released as singles, or they've otherwise charted, or they have been discussed significantly in the media. Binksternet (talk) 15:16, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

On Wiki you need everything to be backed by a reliable source or else the article risks being deleted and/or inaccurate. Andrew Doe is not the best source but he is acceptable because 10452 Bellagio is hosted on Endless Summer Quarterly, a recognized publication (even though it is just a fanzine). Sites like Bootlegzone and Wordpress are self-published, which means they're as reliable as anything else on Wikipedia. If you have any BB related books laying around you can use its index to quickly find more info about songs or other subjects. Or you can search on Google books. (The Cocaine Sessions specifically are not really Beach Boys sessions, which means their songs don't belong on the page in any case.)

Year of release of Houston single by Glen Campbell edit

Hi Atozafit1, I saw you changed the year of release for the Japanese version of the "Houston (I'm Comin' To See You)" single on Glen_Campbell_discography. May I ask what leads you to say it was released in 1975 and not in 1974 as the US version of that single?

National varieties of English edit

Hello. In a recent edit, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 03:37, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Note the edit notice on War of 1812: "This article is written in Canadian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, centre, travelled, realize, analyze), and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus." --NeilN talk to me 03:39, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have recently reverted your changing of the spelling in the War of 1812 article. This article has been written in Canadian English which spells HONOUR with the U. Please do not change this as it will be reverted back to the correct version for this variety of English. Dabbler (talk) 03:25, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
