Humboldt current

The Humboldt Current and the South Equatorial Current are both part of a gyre. More specifically, they form part of the boundary current of the South Pacific Gyre. It seems to me, although I am not going to post this on the ref desk as I am not certain it is correct, that the Humboldt Current is warmed in the tropics and becomes the South Equatorial Current. At least, that seems to be suggested by maps of the gyre. Hope that helps. SpinningSpark 14:33, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Good to know that part

Thanks for the reference on artificial trees. That probably means absolutely no separation cost at the equator with the amount of excess heat or with even further improvements in that technology.Julzes (talk) 02:19, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello AstroHurricane001! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 699 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

New Scientist

If I had been around that afternoon and not Richard Hindmarsh the New Scientist journalist may well have got a quote from me. I have spoken to Richard about his quote and he agrees that the New Scientist article has placed it out of context. It is fairly obvious to me because I work on this area but I understand how many would take the NS article. You were not correctly representing how the NS article presents it either so the wikipedia article was ending up being even more incorrect than the NS article was. Flash mob

Would be mind elaborating on the Talk:Flash mob discussion on how the International Day of Climate Action meets the flash mob criteria over say a festival or convention? The fact that media advertising was purchased, hotels and accommodations books, staff, and that it took place over a very long extended time in a very organized and 'not-unusual' activities were planned does not suggest this is related to the concept of flash mobs.
