References and spell checking

I wouldn't worry about the references. The sections should be integrated into the text where they belong and not isolated from the rest of the article. The reader will know that the information should be treated with skepticism and editors will see that there is a problem that needs to be fixed. If you saw my user page you noticed that my first suggestion is that all articles are imperfect. I see this as part of what makes wikis wonderful. They are forever a work in progress.

I agree with your political sentiments (if I understand you correctly). Hopefully things will improve in 2009. I can't imagine how it would get much worse, but I said the same thing during the 80s and now I look back at that time with nostalgia!

As for a spell checker, I use Firefox as a browser, and it has an add-on that automatically spell checks the edit boxes of EVERY web-page you edit, not just Wikipedia. I recommend it highly.

A suggestion: Use the "+" tab to add a comment to talk pages. It is easier than editing the entire page. New comments usually go on the bottom of talk (discussion) pages. -- ☑ SamuelWantman 10:01, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

e-mail

It didn't seem curt. I agree, that talk pages aren't the place for such discussions, but I also think there is nothing wrong with people being sociable. It is only a problem if socializing is the user's only activity.

BTW, There is no need to post your e-mail address anywhere, in any form on any Wikipedia page. You are much better off activating e-mail by going to "my preferences" then anyone can e-mail you without knowing what your e-mail address is. -- ☑ SamuelWantman 06:22, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:IGFlogotrue.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:IGFlogotrue.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Proposed deletion of You Should Have Stayed at Home

The article You Should Have Stayed at Home has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article documents a single episode of The Fifth Estate, but offers no evidence of independent coverage or other indicators of notability. (Contrast the notability of the topic with the notability of this particular documentary.) The content of the article is comprehensively biased, and draws numerous controversial conclusions not supported by references (and perhaps not even supported by the subject of the article). It also uses inflammatory language and (without supporting references) ascribes controversial opinions to a living person. Even if we were to retain only the neutral, uncontroversial, primary-sourced information, we'd barely have enough for a stub, and would still have to deal with notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
