Refimprove and other tags

edit

Please read Template:Refimprove instructions: This template indicates that the article needs additional inline citations. This template should be used only for articles where there are some, but insufficient, inline citations to support the material currently in the article. Don't use this tag for articles that contain no unreferenced material, even if all the material is supported by a single citation. Several of the refimprove templates you added were wrong as everything in the relevant articles was clearly cited by one or more citations so I have removed them or replaced them with more proper templates.

In cases where the sentences are cited but the references are inappropriate please consider using Template:Primary, Template:Unreliable or similar. In cases where there are some sources but they are misplaced or listed as external links, use Template:Inline. In cases where the article is just very short consider to add a proper Template:Stub. Be cautious in using tags and use them only when necessary. Regards, Cavarrone 06:17, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Maintenance templates?...

edit

I appreciate your enthusiasm for editing Wikipedia and for cleaning-up articles but today you added 33 maintenance templates to various articles. (These articles are in some type of alphabetical order since they either start with the letter A or with the letter B.) WP:CLEANUPTAG seems to apply in these cases as virtually no improvements to these articles were made in the course of the tagging...maybe you can see why this resembles WP:DRIVEBY? Would welcome a discussion here on your talkpage, it just seems to me that you could mix in improvements to articles so they don't need tags along with possibly tagging articles that you don't have time to improve yourself. Shearonink (talk) 22:11, 23 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for helping me learn! I will try to do more improvements. I thought that was what the tool was for, so I apologize for misunderstanding. Astapor12 (talk) 15:57, 29 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Peter Larson

edit

I'm very unimpressed by the way you have recently edited this article. Why did you change the lead image to what looks like a fake mugshot? There is no real dispute that Larson did indeed pay $5,000 to Williams for permission to excavate Sue so why did you add "claimed"? Why did you not add that the majority of the charges against Larson were dismissed? Why did you not elaborate that the felony convictions were due to customs violations related to money, and were not directly related to fossils?
