Your sentences are very well written. My only comment is to watch your capitals - "...traces of their DNA in the environment and Environmental DNA sampling..." the second environment doesn't need to be capitalized. Also make sure that you're citing your sentences as you go, it's far easier than going back in after writing it and trying to fit them in.
