AfD and ref
editHi! I boldly moved your <ref> in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Synergon to a normal external link. When you use <ref> like that in a page that's transcluded, you have to make sure to place <referecens /> somewhere or the reference will, like it did now, also end up towards the very bottom of Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Sweden and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2022 September 2 and I guess that was unintentional. (: The easiest thing is really to avoid <ref> in conversations, it never works as well as in articles where there's a very specific place for the references to go and no risk of having <ref> being used in several discussions transcluded on the same page.
Good to know: Swedish news will rarely show up in a Google News search. For news related to Swedish topics, we're largely dependent on a couple of archives which requires special access, such as w:sv:Mediearkivet, which complicates everything a lot. I've posted the meagre results I got in the AfD disucssion. /Julle (talk) 21:45, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there! Thank you for fixing the link, and for the advice on linking in conversations. As for the Swedish news, thanks for letting me know about the problems with Google Search. When I read your comment on my AfD discussion, I spent a good few minutes searching for the article, but couldn’t locate it anywhere. It’s relieving to know that it’s a known issue, and not that my detective skills were subpar!
- Have a great day!

- Yeah, some articles are not available online at all, or they have a different title and I don't find them myself when I look for the online version. The easiest thing is to treat them like you would a pure print source. That's why I try to very briefly explain to which degree it informs us about the topic at hand, as well as the length and where it was published. /Julle (talk) 09:46, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
editHello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
