- Thank you for your feedback on my submission. I appreciate your comments and understand the need for a more encyclopedic approach.
- I would like to clarify the distinction between historical Freedmen and the contemporary American Freedmen. Historically, Freedmen refers to individuals who were freed from slavery following the American Civil War and their descendants during that period. Their identity and experiences were shaped by the immediate post-emancipation context and the challenges of reintegration into society.
- In contrast, the term âAmerican Freedmenâ today is used to specifically refer to the descendants of these individuals, recognizing the unique heritage and historical experiences that differ from the broader racial categories often applied historically. This distinction is crucial for understanding the evolving identity and social issues faced by these descendants in contemporary times.
- I will revise the submission to ensure it reflects these distinctions clearly and adheres to an encyclopedic format. Thank you for pointing this out. I will address the feedback and resubmit the draft for further review. 75.138.230.200 (talk) 01:54, 15 August 2024 (UTC)

editHello, I'm TechnoSquirrel69. An edit that you recently made to Freedman seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or another application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. I have reverted your edit. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. âTechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 22:07, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
