Um.. the header part

The H. O. Walker Biography

by C. E. Wys[1] Updated for March 2008 by author. Originally published on www.henryoliverwalker.com, February 2007.

Is completely unnecessary, and use <ref>Reference Here</ref> for inline references, not the Notes thing you're using now. At the bottom of the article, place {{reflist}} under a section named "References", this will pseudoautomagically produce a list of all references you have made with the <ref></ref> code. If you need clarification, that's what my talk page is for. Calvin 1998 (t-c) 04:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I did do the "references" section at the bottom of the article, and the reference list was automatically generated. The header is necessary because the text should not be reproduced without a by-line and a title. It is a whole work that is being posted for informational purposes on Wiki. --Arthistoryguy (talk) 04:18, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
The work is paraphrased though, no? Calvin 1998 (t-c) 04:23, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, everything in the article is paraphrased into the author's own words. Also, the essay does not fall into the "OR" category of Wiki rules. The facts are verifyable and cited where necessary. --Arthistoryguy (talk) 04:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Paraphrase it out of the original author's words, and move the byline to the notes section (manually) is what I recommend. Calvin 1998 (t-c) 05:06, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
There appears to be a misunderstanding. As I said before, I am the author of the text... no need for paraphrasing out of my own text. This is a resolved issue, can I please remove it from my talk page now as I've tried to do twice? --Arthistoryguy (talk) 00:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
You did not say before you were the author of the text. I have fixed the referencing, but I advise you, it is not good practice to call your website "HenryOliverWalker.com" although it isn't. And it is discouraged to remove threads from your own talk page, instead archive in a subpage (User talk:Arthistoryguy/Archive 1) or something like that. FYI: I referred to it as "my posted essay" on your talk page - I assumed you understood that I wouldn't copy and paste words that are not my own. Regarding the website: it was located at www.henryoliverwalker.com until several weeks ago when I changed settings. Even when it was at the original web address it redirected to its current location. The essay was not originally published on "www.chadwys.com/howalker" it was originally published on "www.henryoliverwalker.com" -- so please do not suggest otherwise in the footnote. I will likely reactivate the direct web address in the near future. Bye. Arthistoryguy (talk) 02:25, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
