Speedy deletion nomination of User:Army Art Australia edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Army Art Australia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

Hello not sure why this page was blocked? It is not advertising, so your reason for blocking is misguided! Army Art is an historical organisation sanctioned by the Australian Defence Force with official permission to use the Australian Army Logo the Rising Sun. It assists current and serving defence force personnel, by promoting engagement with the arts. The organisation has been running for 45 years and has supported numerous Australian artists and not for profit organisations. We were hoping to retrieve historical material and images that other people may hold and to have people who have contributed to Army Art over the past 45 years add names and stories to the page. regards. Army Art Australia (talk) 10:14, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You will need to propose a new username. Group/organization accounts are not permitted, your username must indicate that an individual is using this account. It need not be your real name. Regarding your block, what you describe as your purpose is considered promotional here. Wikipedia is not for merely telling the world about your organization or the good work it might do, this is an encyclopedia. Please read WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. You won't be unblocked to keep editing about your organization. If you want to edit about a subject other than your organization, please state what that might be. I am declining this request. 331dot (talk) 16:35, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

(Non-Administrator-Comment) Nevermind. There Were at least 2 Users who read your "text" and decided its a violation of WP:NOTPROMOTION:User:Cahk as the nominator, and Alexf as the deleting Admin. Also, Wikipedia is not a free Web host. Your text above does not show you have read any of our local rules. I have a bundle of them for you: WP:COI, WP:What Wikipedia is not WP:PAID, WP:NPOV,WP:LISTEN and last but not least, our Terms of Use (See also our local article on Terms of Use).
