You wrote: I've been impressed by the tremendous work on the page about Serial Experiments Lain. I'm looking forward working on an article with you.

Thanks!! It took about two months almost full time (I barely kept my job), but it was so totally worth it (damn I love the look of that little star in the corner!). As you will probably soon be reminded many times (like I regularly am), please sign your contributions on talk pages using four '~', or by clicking hte "sign" button above the text box. I've been struggling to get on to evangelion, but the amount to be done depresses me a little..... Plus I have discovered "Zuma", the most addictively mind consuming game ever. Download it (6 Mo) and tell me about it.--SidiLemine 10:43, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
You might want to have a look at the List of French singers: they still lack Miossec and La Grande Sophie.... I started transwikiying Mano Solo.--SidiLemine 11:32, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
To upload files, please see Special:Upload and follow instructions. As you will see, there are three types of images on Wiki: Ones you made and foresake the rights too, Free ones (library of congress, etc.), and "fair use". These are the tricky ones, there's plenty of talk about it now. See Wikipedia:Fair use for the details. They're not that agressive in reality, but you'll need a "rationale" explaining how this is fair use. My suggestion isto peep at featured singers article and look at the image pages.--SidiLemine 09:20, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Python logo.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Python logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Durin 05:37, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you're a fellow follower of the Invisible Pink Unicorn... Good for you! Did you hear about the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Jette Joop

A tag has been placed on Jette Joop, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Image:Invisible Pink Unicorn Logo.png

edit

Hello, Arikel. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Invisible Pink Unicorn Logo.png) was found at the following location: User:Arikel/Userboxes/atheist. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 09:23, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, mister Gnome. I was not aware the Invisible Pink Unicorn picture was not free... When i saw your message, i was first planning to use the Flying Spaghetti Monster picture instead, but i've just noticed it has been removed too... OK, i'll grab my GIMP and make my first really personnal contribution to the Wikicomons, just to get the right to put an icon on a userbox on my userpage, just to say i'm an atheist... Good Luck people! Don't lose faith! ;) Arikel 20:35, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Katee sackhoff.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Katee sackhoff.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
