Questions

edit

Hi ,

The page i wanted to create was not verified , assuming it was because of in-sufficient reference links ; 1> Could websites/blogs/social network sites be reference links ? 2> can we use wiki pages as reference links ? 3> can the page we create be made not editable..?

Dear Arif7225:

Please write to me either here or on my talk page at User talk:Anne Delong rather than by e-mail. Here are the answers to your questions:

1) Social media sites are in general not accepted as reliable sources because they can be added to and changed by anyone. Wikipedia is looking for material written by exerts and professional writers who take the time to check their facts.

2) Wiki pages can't be used to verify information. That would be like referencing yourself.

3) Wikipedia can't be used as a place to advertise products. Once the article is accepted, it will not belong to you; it will be part of the encyclopedia, and should be written from a neutral point of view. The pages can and will be edited by anyone who finds a good printed source of information for verification. —Anne Delong (talk) 12:26, 23 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Catandogs

edit

Hello Arif7225. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Catandogs".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Catandogs}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. hmssolentlambast patrol records 01:20, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
