2010 FIFA World Cup

edit

FIFA, like most other international organizations, use British English as the standard in communication. Since football (soccer) isn't a very relevant sport in the United States and FIFA uses British English on its website, it's improper to use American English on the FIFA World Cup article. Please refrain from making such edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.26.32.103 (talk) 16:47, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I REVERTED the edit, I didn't change it back. The numbers were wrong and unsourced.--Asams10 09:19, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Gamer007

edit

A tag has been placed on Gamer007 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. November 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Gamer007. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. ARendedWinter 02:42, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
