Speedy deletion nomination of File:John Sharp.jpg

Why the image was deleted

Cropping a copyrighted image doesn't make it free. CC-by-3.0 = a free license and unless "Trainman74" is the copyright owner of the CTV and CBS movie then it is a Copyright violation and is deleted under speedy deletion criteria F9. feydey (talk) 22:24, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Paris Theater pics

Oh, and I should the other option - you could contact the photographer, Mindsay Mohan, and tell that person you wanted to use the picture in a Wikipedia article, but it would need to be licensed appropriately. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!

After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
