Bare references

I noticed that on Draft:Battle of Donetsk Airport, you were adding bare URLs as references. This is not the preferred method to be used with citations because such a method of referencing is prone to link rot. I would advise that you instead take care to use citation templates instead. I don't think you ever saw what I said above, so I will just say again please do not use bare references as sources. You have been here for a few months, and while it is not required of you, I ask that whenever you add a reference, that you please use one of the WP:Citation templates, such as {{cite web}} and {{cite news}}. May 2014

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Battle of Donetsk Airport a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Battle of Donetsk Airport. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. I know you are itching to write a new article, but I don't think the Donetsk offensive one will pan out. However, I do know that we do need new articles, just not on this "Donetsk offensive". Perhaps, instead of working on this, you'd be interesting in creating an article Battle in Shakhtarsk Raion? The fighting there has been extraordinary, and it is also connected to MH17, but our coverage of the events are fairly poor. This is something that deserves an article, and would really help our coverage. It wouldn't be a fork, either. If you're up for it, it would be appreciated. • I support the Ilovaisk draft, as we don't have much information on that battle, despite its importance (i.e. accusations by Semenchenko that Armed Forces abandoned Donbas Battalion and subsequent protests by Euromaidan activists). However, I think the Novoazovsk one is un-needed. It was a quick battle, and War in Donbass and 2014 Russian military intervention in Ukraine already cover it adequately. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days.
