January 2020

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to The Amazing Race 19, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sportsfan 1234, are you sure? Drmies (talk) 15:41, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
Sportsfan 1234 as I followed the similar changes in The Amazing Race 15 due to WP:AVTRIVIA is unnecessary being used within outside of the U.S. version, where I removed two edits. ApprenticeFan work 20:21, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
User:ApprenticeFan, I cannot figure out what you are trying to say. Please proofread for grammar. Drmies (talk) 03:06, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Michelle Babin moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Michelle Babin, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 2020 Olympics

We're not a marketing firm. The year that the Olympics will take place in is 2021 according to official sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:4B:301:2670:5057:8C16:B571:42F8 (talk) 18:09, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

2021

I'm keeping 2021 in the year table, because when the new dates are added it'll be nonsense. However I agree that other transclusions of the games themselves should remain as 2020. Cards84664 05:35, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Summer Olympic Games. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

I am sorry for what I say for this response, as 2021 Summer Olympics is a redirect to 2020 Summer Olympics corresponds about the Bids for Olympic Games article that it shows for the page is: 2020 or 2021 either of those two use as a text. Sorry for disrupting my edits. ApprenticeFan work 00:10, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

July 2020

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Diving at the 2020 Summer Olympics does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Of the 67,000 edits you have made since 2005, I notice you have failed to give any edit summary in 78% of them (that's 51,000+ records). Please think about addressing this issue in your editing. Did you know you can set your Preferences to prompt you if you try to save an edit without an explanation? Not only is it helpful to oneself, it is an important courtesy to other users, and I notice others have made this request before. Nick Moyes (talk) 15:21, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

G6 deletions

Can you elaborate on why Draft:2020 French Open – Men's Singles Qualifying and Draft:2020 French Open – Women's Singles Qualifying are eligible for deletion under G6? In general, you should either provide a reason with db-g6 or use a more specific template. Jackmcbarn (talk) 01:26, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

They've been reverted into articles after their draws were made. ApprenticeFan work 01:29, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
In general, I don't think we delete redirects from draftspace just because the pages were moved to article space. Is there a reason that these ones in particular should be deleted anyway? Jackmcbarn (talk) 01:31, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
I think so. Once the drafts were met the guidelines, sources are required. ApprenticeFan work 01:32, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

2020 US Open changes were and improvement

The changes made to the formatting of the 2020 US Open (tennis) article were looked upon as a huge improvement by administrators and others. Items were moved to the appropriate singles articles and other items (such as points) were moved down. The 2020 French Open article will eventually follow the same formatting as soon as someone gets around to it (as will the 2020 Australian Open.) Just a heads up. Cheers. This user's adding some untrusted sources of info. For instance, regarding Rabiya Mateo's birthdate. I provided a reliable reference which is an article from PEP. PEP stands for Philippine Entertainment Portal, Inc. It is a joint venture of Summit Media and GMA New Media, a subsidiary of GMA Network Inc. (one of Philippines' largest network) which makes my reference reliable. and yet, this user keeps on removing this reference and changing it with unreliable references. He should be suspended. Shawntheshipper You're being annoying by reverting and deleting legitimate references there and you're currently on edit warring with so many users. As you did here, you're reverting everyone edits HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and many more... Stop reverting everyone's edit, you're being non-sense and content removal by deleting reliable sources is inappropriate Arabiya Sundall page isn't even your own page, everyone has the right to edits but yours are too disruptive and changing newly updated legitimate sources with an small local TV channel blog isn't accepted, even CNA article aren't legitimate sources sometimes you should also check the actual date released of the news.180.247.192.254 (talk) 14:15, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

**socked puppet account: Shawntheshipper also involved in socked puppet account with Ianpaulguerrero based on your edit comment on Rabiya Sundall Mateo this 2 user are identical and came from the same IP Address that suspected with vandalism acts on Rabiya Sundall Mateo history page. HERE & HERE their edits comment using CAPSLOCK which is very inappropriate and impolite behavior, also using identical attacking words. Which came from the same IP Address, are totally suspicious.

American Idol color template request/task force

Hi there, TVSGuy is here.

I am here to check things and so far that the update has gone up to Season 3 (season 4 for partially up until the audition part); but there are still 11 American Idol seasons to have to change the color templates to fix up consistency. I would recommend to set a small task force and update to all other versions of Idol as well.

It looks like I am normally busy with this task. Do it in other time. ApprenticeFan work 00:35, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
I'm understand. If I want to do so but I want to post help for other Wikipedians to see (such as a dashboard), where should I do, and how? Moreover, me and some of the editors, such as Brojam, were busy so much they never have made progress since. Thanks TVSGuy (talk) 05:01, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

ANI

Hi there, with regard to the ANI case opened by Alex Duilius, please try to soften your language a bit. This is a community editing project and if you go around calling things "stupid", it's likely going to be misinterpreted. Note also that per editing norms, claims that you make in an article must be directly attributed to a reliable source. So when you make an assertion that Germany, Saint Lucia and Sweden withdrew from a pageant, you need to provide a reference that explicitly states that. With 74,000 edits under your belt and 15 years of experience, I'm actually really surprised to have to tell you this. It is a basic concept at Wikipedia, and it is totally reasonable for an editor to ask for proof, so I can't really understand why you'd both edit-war about it and express irritation at Alex Duilius on top of that. Try to keep cool, please. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:55, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
