Your Quips
I would have to agree with some of your Quips. Particularly, in reference to the widespread number of errors throughout Wikipedia. Similarly, I think a big part of the problem are the deletionists and their lack of education in the areas that they are deleting. I also think that the Wikipedia processes contribute to the imbalances in the decision-making that affects these decisions. Peace. Stevenmitchell (talk) 15:29, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
Format
Just curious, and thought I'd survey you for your opinion. I use the less favored, older format for cites. I don't have a lot of time and my eyesight is going, and I find it is faster, especially if there are a half-dozen or so reporters who are credited in the cited article. So you converted my cite for Bridget Zeigler, I think, to the current format. I don't have a problem with that.
Is there any guidance on whether or not we are restricted to using the current format or can use the antediluvian format, which was used for all citations for well over a decade, I presume? If one were to spend one's time, joined by a thousand other toilers, to update all those historic citations, one could work at it for a decade and not make a lot of progress. Thanks!
