edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Olajide A. Emmanuel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I am writing to respectfully appeal the indefinite block placed on my account for alleged advertising or self-promotion in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines. I believe this action was taken based on a misunderstanding of my intentions and the content I contributed.
The article in question was a profile for 15seclyrics, a platform that has gained significant recognition and relevance in the music industry, particularly within Nigeria. The information I provided was well-referenced with multiple independent, reliable sources that highlight the platform's impact and contributions. These sources include respected publications like Vanguard Nigeria, The Guardian Nigeria, Business Day Nigeria, and JustNaija, among others.
I took care to adhere to Wikipedia's guidelines on notability by including verifiable information supported by third-party sources. The content was presented in a neutral tone, without any promotional language, focusing solely on the factual details about the platform's history, services, and community engagement.
I fully understand the importance of Wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest and notability, and I made every effort to comply with these guidelines. My intention was not to promote or advertise, but to contribute to the encyclopedia by adding a notable entry that I believe is relevant and valuable to the community.
I kindly request a review of the block and the article's content. I am more than willing to make any necessary adjustments to ensure that it fully aligns with Wikipedia's standards.
Thank you for considering my appeal. I look forward to your feedback. Aoegold (talk) 07:58, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

It's a good start that you seem to understand you shouldn't edit about yourself or things you are associated with. Do you understand that it's not enough that sources be third-party? Most of the sources you used were glowing promotional pieces that almost certainly are paid content disguised as articles(one clue is that the sources do not name specific authors). What topics do you want to edit about? 331dot (talk) 16:19, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
