Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. You are trying to make a major change that doesn't seem to reflect the consensus scholarly views, as far as I can tell, based on a self-published article on a Muslim web site. You are also violating WP:UNDUE by quoting a large passage that gives undue weight to a view that may not reflect scholarly consensus. Please discuss your proposed change on Talk:Criticism of Muhammad before proceeding further. Edit-warring doesn't justify the version you want.
