Your submission at Articles for creation

edit

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/SIX COLORS BOY. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tatsuya Kawagoe

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tatsuya Kawagoe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — Yash [talk] 14:04, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Removing Speedy at Tatsuya Kawagoe

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Tatsuya Kawagoe. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 14:20, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Tatsuya Kawagoe. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 14:22, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Crayon Shin-Chan: My Moving Story! File permission problem with File:Shinnosuke Nohara visits Mexico beach.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Shinnosuke Nohara visits Mexico beach.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nick—Contact/Contribs 20:00, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Shinchan in flight to Mexico.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Shinchan in flight to Mexico.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Replaceable fair use File:Shinnosuke Nohara visits Mexico beach.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Shinnosuke Nohara visits Mexico beach.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:36, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Block

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying images into Wikipedia from elsewhere online without any evidence of permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Diannaa (talk) 21:32, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Anwesh pati (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

As soon as I read the warning on my message page, I did not make any further addition of images. I had added six images which were considered to be copyright violations by Wikipedia users. Those six images were added the same time, one following the other. During that time, I did not receive any warning regarding the image. After I finished, I was first given a message to verify the permissions. I did not do any upload further. All six images were finished uploading by 20:02, 18 May 2015 (UTC), whereas the first message I recieved was at 20:06, 18 May 2015 (UTC), four minutes later. This can be seen from my talk page and user upload log. While I was busy finding evidence to support the files, I received a copyright violation message, at 20:34, 18 May 2015 (UTC), 28 minutes later. I was, at that time, warned that I may be further blocked from editing Wikipedia. I have not made any upload or addition to Wikipedia since 20:02 UTC. So, in no way I 'persisted'. Then I received messages in quick succession. I was busy visiting the disputed pages at that time. I did not to any persisting offense to get blocked. I think it was a misunderstanding on part of the administrator. The users/administrators might have thought me as uploading images after their warning, which was not the case. I paid heed to their warning as soon as I saw it. The copyright violation tag on the images were placed much later their upload time. The message having the warning for block was given at 20:38, 18 May 2015 (UTC) , and the copyright violation tag on one image was placed at 20:39 (UTC), 1 minute later. So, it is clearly a case of misunderstanding and time-delay of placing tags. All six images had been finished uploading by 20:02, 18 May 2015 (UTC). It can be found from my upload log. It is very likely that the person adding the tags had missed out one image before placing the block message, and the administrator misunderstood it as me uploading after the block warning. It may also be a case of technical problem like poor internet connection, which might have caused the one-minute delay of placing the speedy deletion tag on the last image. I could not even delete the images since I am not an administrator (I think there should be an option to delete image files by the person who has uploaded it, like YouTube gives). So, there was nothing which I could have possibly done further. In the warning message, it was said that I may be blocked if I did any "further" violation, which I did not. The six images were uploaded in quick succession, but the copyright violation warning were given separately for each one. This might have made it appear that I might have persisted, which I simply didn't. A previous administrator had placed a file permission problem tag as a single message, linking the six image files. But another administrator, within half an hour, placed copyright violation tags for all six images separately. What could I have done in this case? As soon as the images were deleted by admins, I removed their link from the page where they were used. But surprisingly, at 21:32, 18 May 2015 UTC, I was blocked by an admin. I could not understand why. Since Wikipedia has all logs and records, it can be easily seen that I did not do any sort of violation 'after' the warnings were placed. Moreover, now I understand the copyright related to images and fully assure that I shall not upload copyrighted, unverified or disputed images. I've realised that it is better to avoid uploading images whose copyright or free status can't be determined. Basically those six images which I had uploaded were photographs taken from a public event. So I had no idea that these images would be considered as copyrighted, since any person present at the event can take a photograph very similar to the original one. I request the administrators to review my block as I want to contribute to Wikipedia from this account. I feel this is unfair and I should get a second chance.

Accept reason:

I am amenable to second chances, and so I am giving you one. To re-iterate, this unblock is on the condition that you do not upload any more files until further notice, otherwise you will be reblocked. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:58, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I am willing to unblock you if you agree to stop uploading images (regardless of whether or not other editors tag them as copyright violation) and show me you have a basic understanding of file copyright policy. Can you please tell me, in your own words, what you understand by the following speedy deletion criteria :

Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 08:45, 19 May 2015 (UTC) @Ritchie333:Reply

I fully assure you that I will stop uploading such images.

Yes, I have now understood the file copyright policy.

  • WP:CSD#F5 basically means that the image is neither freely licensed (or explicitly stated to be free anywhere), nor under public domain (like copyright expiration, etc.) , and is orphaned, i.e not used any article, and should be deleted.
  • WP:CSD#F6 says that the image file is not free, but it is claiming fair use, without any rationale, i.e. without any logical reasons, and should be deleted.
  • WP:CSD#F9 says that the image is non-free and also not claimed by the uploader. The images are taken from a source like a website, and do not have a Wikipedia compatible free license. The source website also doesn't state that it can be used on Wikipedia without permission. In this case, it is considered as blatant infringement by Wikipedia and is deleted soon.

I understand these criteria and shall pay attention to them next time. I request you to unblock me.
