Pedro Miguell edit

An article on Wikipedia lives or dies on the volume and quality of reliable source coverage present in the article as referencing. No claim of notability, no matter how impressive you think it sounds, ever confers an exemption from having to pass WP:GNG on the sources — so if you think he's notable enough, then you're free to reference it properly to media coverage about him, but nothing entitles him to an exemption from having to be properly sourced. July 2016 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Pedro Miguell has been reverted.
Your edit here to Pedro Miguell was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.mynewsdesk.com/se/norrkoepings-symfoniorkester/pressreleases/nyskapat-av-kompositionsstudenter-1159184) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 14:26, 25 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Pursuant to this, please note that press releases on public relations distribution platforms like "mynewsdesk" do not count as reliable source coverage for the purposes of passing our notability rules: they are self-published by an affiliated entity (the subject himself, his PR agent, a directly-affiliated organization, etc,), and do not represent independent attention being given to him by media. Reliable sources for Wikipedia articles are media coverage about him in newspapers, magazines, books, and the like, not press releases. Bearcat (talk) 16:37, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
