Vitol - intention to remove content edit

I intend to remove, firstly, under Controversies

Vitol is involved in war profiteering in ISIS ruled areas and is financing ISIS indirectly by selling the oil to American markets.

as there has never been any evidence to support this comment, it is unsubstantiated, defamatory, and factually untrue; Vitol does not trade in ISIS oil. In order to ensure the provenance of crude oil purchased, Vitol has in place a global compliance program that includes rigorous policies and processes in relation to the vetting of its third parties, including its trading counterparties and related supply chain. Furthermore, within high risk regions, additional enhanced due diligence and controls have been implemented such as the requirement to only deal with long-standing and trusted counterparts. Secondly, I intend to also remove or amend the comment

When it comes to the financial industry’s richest and most risk-taking executives, few top those in the world of energy trading and especially at Vitol where the average pay is over $1.1 million.

as this refers to only one of the Vitol Group subsidiaries, Vitol Broking Ltd, and is not representative of any other company earnings within and across the Group; this statement is therefore inaccurate and misleading. An accurate representation might be found in the accounts filed in the year ending 31st December 2011 where average pay within one of Vitol's subsidiaries was $1.1 million.

Furthermore I would like to update the revenues and business figures which are included for 2014 as this information is out dated and Vitol has released 2015 figures [1].--Antonialock69 (talk) 10:18, 17 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of incorrect or inaccurate content edit

I intend to remove the following sentence 'In 2014, it paid dividends to its 300 plus shareholders – mainly present and former core employees – of over $37.2 billion.' as this statement is factually untrue and incorrect, and will replace it with 'In March 2015, the FT suggested that Vitol appeared to make $1.2 billion as a dividend distribution.'
