Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm! edit

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 08:41, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mike Malloy Show music edit

Hi A'040; You added the title of the music for the end of hour three as Bird on a Wire by Jennifer Warnes. The download from Amazon (play time 4:42) is not the mix that is used on Mike's show -- no saxophone solo. Any hints? Thanks. OldZeb (talk) 07:38, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've no idea, since I'm only used to the song from the intro music for the third hour (before it was replaced with The Moody Blues) and the mentioned end music. --Anthony040 (talk) 16:00, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Swedbank Stadion edit

Hello! Please can you upload your image of the Swedbank Stadion to commons? tnx! --213.33.1.24 (talk) 01:10, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The file is now up on Commons. [1] I don't really know how to use Commons, so maybe you could take over from here. At least its up there now. :-) --Anthony040 (talk) 17:13, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

January 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Guillermo Molins. The article I linked to said that he was born in Uruguay, so don't try to lecture me here. --Anthony040 (talk) 11:52, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK. Next step is to learn how to add proper reference citations :-)

Fair enough.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Stadion 2009.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Stadion 2009.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

That picture was indeed featured in only one article, and the new picture that I uploaded will likely be a permanent replacement in the article, so I don't think we have to worry about the earlier picture. --Anthony040 (talk) 09:14, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Malmö FF shirt edit

See the link to see what I mean, I guess you speak swedish? http://www.svenskafans.com/fotboll/artikel.asp?id=288986 The article clearly states that it is not a CHANGE but merely a CORRECTION to the original colour. As I stated in the revision, there is no reason to have two different shirts, If we would do it you're way we would have to to have 5 or 6 different shirts as the colour have probably changed slightly many times, therefore there is no reason to highlight just two different very simular colours, lets just keep it as one to not confuse the readers of the article.

File permission problem with File:Farias and Malloy.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Farias and Malloy.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 22:40, 20 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
